I love that bike in particular and that type of bike in general. However, someone said that the best bike is a well built race bike or something so now I don't yearn for them anymore, atmo.

Just 'cause someone sez so doesn't make it so. A well built race bike absolutely sucks as a utility bike for carrying heavy loads (e.g., like a porteur) and as a touring bike intended to carry 30-40lb of luggage. The fact that someone thinks so merely demonstrates the narrowness of their vision.

Oh, I think you may have a point there. The last time someone told me to jump off a cliff I did but I didn´t like it, atmo. Hmmm....
