90's Serotta T-Max project

Bought a pretty beat up T-Max with a seized seat post and stem. I spent probably $60 on lye and various tools to rescue it. I immediately boxed it for shipping and it sat in my bike room for 3 years waiting for me to send it to Allan Wanta for paint. He finished it this week and it should arrive next week. I have a pretty complete Mavic MTB group waiting for it. Had Allan put a Brazeon for a front derailleur on it as the T-Max has that weird shape where the band clamp goes and the derailleur sometimes tends to slip.

Mavic Paris Dakar wheels
Mavic Crank with the original Mavic chainrings
Mavic Butterfly thumb shifters
Mavic Headset
Mavic Front and Rear Derailleur
Ritchey WCS Stem
Ritchey Logic brake levers
Ritchey WCS Pro Vector saddle
Suntour XC Pro Seat-post
Suntour XC Pro Brakes
Nitto B2520AA

Still deciding on what tires I want. The paint is supposed to be a Pink to Orange florescent but I think the photos are a bit off. Including shipping to and from Allan's shop in Florida the paint, decals and adding the Brazeon the cost was around $475. Best deal around! I will post more photos when it arrives and the build begins.

That paint is Day-Glorious! Looks like it will be an interesting build, too.

Awesome. I had a 1993 T-Max I used to race back in the day! Still wish I had that bike. Mine was Onyx/Magenta fade. Looked so good. Sure miss that thing!! Enjoy that beauty!!
