I've got a front and rear set of Shimano R-550 brakes. How does $25 shipped sound? Would send USPS Priority Mail.

Assuming they're silver and in decent shape, consider them sold.

I don't want to shell out $$ for a pair of Paul's, and I've heard the Shimano BR-550 have decent finish and braking power.

PM replied to. The R-550 brakes are in great shape and they are nice canti brakes in general with some advantages over some other designs. They are polished aluminum, which goes well with the design scheme on many bikes. They do not project outward as far as many canti brakes, and thus don't get in the way of panniers or other things. I recommend Koolstop salmon pads for the best performance.
