2016 Kona Hei Hei DL Trail

6061 AL, 100mm of travel from the frame, 120mm up front, XT 1x11. I cannot wait to take this out at lunch tomorrow for its first ride! The saddle probably needs to come up a couple CM for my wicked long legs so expect some trails shots soon.

Nice. I was there this past weekend... really liked the Kona Process 134. But I also like the new Santa Cruz 5010. Trying to figure out how I can test ride the latter. Decisions, decisions...

nice KONA! Consider a dropper post. I never thought I needed one until I got one.

I rode the 134 and the 5010 and chose the latter. Ride them both.

Dropper post is my first planned upgrade for this bike when some budget frees up from other projects!

This bike is rad. Literally haven't changed a thing since I bought it except switched to a 32t chainring and replaced the rear tire. Still want a dropper eventually but also it snowed 6 inches yesterday during this ride meaning I'm done with the trails for a while... so I don't feel like I need it urgently.

I have a '17 Carbon Race.

Build has changed a bit since this photo was taken but here you go. These are super capable XC bikes. This may be strong, but I've been riding mountain bikes since 1994, have worked in the industry and retail for a good # of those years, ridden LOTS of different bikes. This is hands down my favorite.

ENJOY YOURS!

That's awesome. I would absolutely love to ride the carbon version, just can't quite bring myself to upgrade yet. I think if I get to cat 1 in XC this summer I may reward myself with a carbon bike, we'll see. I have my eye on the turner czar too.

Enjoy yours too my man!

I finally got a dropper post just in time for it to snow 10 inches and make the trails unrideable for at least a month!!!!!!

Updated with Renthal carbon bars and a 1cm longer stem, a new front tire (let's see what this Addix is all about), and lots more miles. Hoping to get out for a few more rides on frozen ground before the snow arrives for real.
