Guee G-Mount

Just came across this, and given a fair amount of discussion on here about bar mounts, thought it was worth posting.

Looks interesting. About $60 shipped (with Garmin mount) from one source. Looks like the additional under-mount for a camera comes in just under $10. Manufacturer's specs:
  • Light source:4 High Bright LEDs
  • Material:Aluminum CNC Machined
  • Modes:Constant/Flash/Strobe
  • Battery:Li-Poly rechargeable battery 420 mAh
  • Charge:Micro USB charge port
  • Strap Mount:リ31.8mm
  • Water Resistant:YES/ IPX5
  • Charge time:2 hour 10mins (approx)
  • Burn time (approx):7hrs(constant)/20hrs(strobe)/25hrs (flash)

I think there may be issues with getting the correct positioning/angle for the light to be effective and the screen on the computer to be visible.

Then again, if you are using the light at night, you probably aren't looking at your computer. And if you are using the light during daytime for added visibility, then it doesn't matter where the light is pointed as long as it is forward.

With a lever arm that long, i'd think there would be a fair amount of camera movement over anything but a perfect surface.

Camera movement doesn't really matter with the go pro, it's made for that. It looks to be made of alum so should be pretty stable.

This is a neat idea but it would be annoying to have to bring the bike by a power socket to recharge the light.

Also $60 is pushing it unless the led light is amazing.
