SOLD! Custom English w/Di2, SRM - 56 ett

SOLD! I bought this almost exactly a year ago from Fairwheel Bikes as a result of a PSA here on the forum. I am the second owner.

And, a year later . . . it is still mostly in the original packaging and box I received it in from Fairwheel. I had the best & worst of winters last year, and for both reasons have had very limited bike time over the past year.

Now, when I do ride, I am focused almost entirely off-road, and, regardless of surface, on a very few of my bikes. This one needs to go to someone that will actually unpack it, much less use it!

Rob English custom frameset. I have included a few photos below, and they obviously are not mine (there are plenty of photos and write-ups of this exact bike on the web). I think you get the idea - the bike is utterly gorgeous, and from my inspection of it when I received it, it has very minimal signs of use, and absolutely no dings, dents, etc. But if you really need me to, I will unpack it and take current photos.

7970 Di2, with English-designed custom internal (seat tube) battery. Charging cable/setup included.

Wireless SRM, with (again, as I was informed) fully functioning battery - less than 1,000 miles on this, but it has sat for a year.

Saddle, pedals, and everything else you see in the photos is included . . . except . . .

No wheels, but the cassette is included. If you really need wheels, we could discuss some of the spare sets I have. But, to be honest, I'd rather not bother at this point, and since the bike is essentially packed and ready to ship as-is, with no room to add wheels to the box, I'd like to sell it without any.

(However, I do have a pair of NOS 28h ENVE Classic 45 carbon clincher rims that I could do a package deal on, and most likely slip into the existing shipping box -I'll check on that tonight. Those rims would look fantastic on this bike, very close to what is shown below.)

Less than 1,000 miles on the setup, according to the info I received when I bought it, and I have no reason to doubt that.

The full geometry is shown below. Keep in mind that it is an integrated seat mast, but if all you need is a lower saddle position, I would be happy to facilitate having Rob himself cut it to your size before I ship it to you. (See my post below for an update - yes, Rob will do it!)

SOLD! I'd like to simply recover what I paid, so $3,260 net to me - you cover PayPal fees (if any) and shipping. For this frameset, the Di2 group, and the SRM, that seemed like a deal to me a year ago. Hopefully I wasn't wrong!

Finally, I will need up to a week to ship this. Yes, it is essentially packed and ready to go, but, depending on when (if?!) someone buys this, I may be away from the bike for a couple of days and unable to ship it until I return. So please be patient with me!

If you'll sell the frameset, and ship to Australia, I'm all over this...

Trying to keep shipping costs down!

Besides which I have some 9070 Di2, Turn cranks & 2014 EE Brakes that'd be *perfect*!

^This!

Sorry, but for a number of reasons I'm not interested in breaking it down or shipping to AU. Hope you find what you are looking for.

P.S. - But if you take it as is, and cover the shipping, I'll send it to you. Then locally selling off what you don't want - Di2, SRM, etc. - could leave you with a really sweet deal on the frameset.

Bumping, Plus Additional Small Detail

I have several interested parties circling and asking questions, but no sale yet. Since this has already slid down to page 2, I thought I would bump it up before I head out for the next several hours (I'll try to keep responding to PMs via my phone).

And one additional bonus detail I left out of the original post: This comes with the additional Di2 sprint shifters installed on the drops!

Rob's Response

Since several of you are waiting to hear, I just received a response from Rob English. In part, he said: "If you need help with that then that isn't a problem - we just need the new rider's saddle height to know where to cut. I can do that as a while-you-wait service, then you can take it away for packing/shipping."

So that service is available to you if desired.

Speaking of Mr. English, is he healed up and back in biz? I recall reading about him having a horrific crash last year or the year prior.

He makes exquisite bikes, that's for sure.

(Sorry for slight thread drift....)
