Who makes a good looking rigid mountain bike fork?
I'm turning my mid 90s Skunkhumper into a commuter bike. I currently have a 26" Surly fork on it with non-tapered, raked blades and, quite frankly, it's as ugly as butt nuggets. Who makes nice looking rigid replacement forks for MTBs that formerly had short(er) travel suspension forks?
...and as everyone knows, I'm cheep.

Or this; still kind of a piece of crap, but the proportions/scale will look better on an older steel bike than the bulk of the Surly fork. Plus it's not suspension corrected: http://www.modernbike.com/product-21...Fadj7AodVCwACQ

That's what I just did. It is a little thin for the m2 frame, but would look perfect on the steel version. Regardless, I am still very happy with the choice.
I got it from bikeman. They were great. I forgot to order a SFN and when I called them, they threw it in the box for free. It was only like $2, but it was still great service. |

Waltworks and White Brothers Rock Solid 26er too expensive? The WB pop up on ebay from time to time, though they make more 29er versions.
Edit: Just remembered the WB is disk only. Here is an On-One in white on the bay. Looks OK? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ON-ONE-RIGID...item35dd9f1681

That pic looks like an m2 and not an a1 by the way. Pretty sure I see the "made in USA" sticker on the seat tube. |
