welcome aboard Zac.
How do you like your Rock Lobsters? IMO, they have something special about them. Can't put my finger on it, I just like them when I see them.

I love them. In fact I mainly ride my Aluminum as an all year rounder. Plus Paul is a great guy!

Zac:
Welcome! I'm one of the many that read a lot but don't jump into the conversation much. In checking out your new post, you noted your Ritchey P-650b. I've been struggling with getting a new MTB frameset and the Ritchey P-29er is at the top of the list. The old P21 was my dream bike when I first got into cycling in the 90's. Any thoughts or feedback on the Ritchey. Thanks, Kevin P.S. Ritchey has some new non-team colors coming for 2015. |

Hey Kevin- I really love my Ritchey. I'd say it's perfect for the riding I do and what's available in Northern California. I built mine up with a 2x10 XT kit and, Ritchey Vantage Wheels (Tubeless) and a White Brothers Loop fork. One thing I was looking for was a touch more slack in the HT angle. So I had the fork spec'd to 120mm of travel rather than the recommended 100mm. This basically removed 1 degree from the headtube angle (though probably a bit less with sag). Now it climbs just as good, but maybe descends just a touch better. All built it probably weighs 26 lbs. Not too bad for a steel hardtail. The nice thing about the 2015 version is that they will have tapered head tubes. This will give you many more fork options. Not to sound like a forum cop but there is a sticky up top of the same thread. I prefer to remain anonymous and spare you all of my over the top good looks.

Welcome Zac. Reply to whatever thread you like. Which friend referred you to to the paceline? He/She should be commended!
