Lezyne Road Drive Issue (won't engage valve threads)
Anyone else have problems getting the pump to engage on the valve threads after a few years? I have had this pump for a while (I think 4 years).
I had a flat the other day and could not for the life of me (spent 20 minutes trying), get the pump to engage the valve threads. Thankfully, I had a co2 cartridge I could use, so I wasn't stranded. I just spent 20 minutes in the comfort of my home, and still had trouble getting the pump to thread. I finally got it on the rear wheel (the tube that I had trouble with out on the road) but could not do the front wheel (which has opposing sides of the threads squared off). Just wondering if this is a problem with my pump (o-ring, or stripped threads) or a problem with the tubes, or maybe something else? I should add that I've used this pump in the past on 10+ occasions, with no issues that I can recall.

I have no feedback, but I'll be following this with interest. I have been thinking of buying this model pump and ditching CO2 cartridges with the thought that the pump would be a sure-fire, more reliable solution. My CO2 inflator is not controllable (once threaded on, it dumps 100% of its contents), so if I mess up and blow both cartridges without successfully inflating a tire, then I'm stuck.

Having a back up is good. I ride with pump and 2 co2 cartridges. I reserve co2 cartridges for flats that occur on dangerous roads or when it is getting dark . otherwise I use the pump. This is first time I have had issues with the pump.
