Stoked! I joined the C40 Mapei club

I lucked out and found a gently used C-40 in Mapei scheme locally. Needs a few bits replaced like cables and bars, but fit is good so far (size 56). I was going to put on Campy 11, but just doesn't feel right and will be leaving Record 10 on.

Couple of issues, trying to run 25s, but not enough tire clearance on the front, and a few paint chips, anyone know where to get good touch up paint?

There is nothing wrong with that bike. I'd love to track one of those down some day.

Congrats on that beauty. Re the 28 tires, I was able to fit Grand Bois Cerf 26's on my NOS C40. They ride wonderfully. I'm running DA9000 so the brake clearance is good compared to Campy 11. Not sure how Campy 10 brake clearances are.

Touch up paint - don't worry about it if you're keeping it. It looks good. Otherwise, nail polish is OK.

Sweet!!! I need another C40- in regular Mapei to keep my WC Mapei C40 company! The rear tire clearance on the C40 is the tightest of any bike I've ever seen.

Congrats and ride the heyall out it!
