FS: Look 585 XXL

Major life change says must do it.

Bought this earlier this year from tv_vt and have put *maybe* 300 miles on it. A thoroughly nice bike, extremely smooth, long distance comfortable and excellent handling. A real fun ride. Rode it hard at the Bozeman Kirk/Strong extravaganza, had my a$$ handed to me by some really good riders (I'm old, it was 5,000 ft elevation, blah, blah) but I was faster on this Look than I had ever been over that distance on any other bike I've owned.

All stock and in at least very good condition with a few and very normal small faults. Nothing that I would kick it out of bed for.

SOLD

Buy this bike

The 585 is an absolutely fantastic bike. Whoever buys this frame will be a very happy person.

Here's a geometry chart from the 2007 model year. I don't think the geometry changed much during the years the bike was available.

damn.

Well, this is a problem. (The good kind, I guess).

Dave, what tires do you think would fit? And what's the bottom bracket?

Cheers,
Mark.

Mark, the Look uses a standard English threaded bottom bracket.

I'm running Conti 700x25s on HED wheels with the wide C2 rims. The tires measure an actual 27.5mm and there are no clearance issues to the sides or brake calipers on the front or rear.

Additionally it uses a 27.2 seat post and a 31.8 derailleur clamp.

Well, Dave, looks like I'll have to repay you for selling you that Colnago.

Count me in.

And Ray, I'll need some red HandleBra.

Beautiful bike. If it was about 37 sizes smaller, I'd be all over it!

Stupidly good deal for one of the best carbon bikes ever. If I didn't have a Time VXR already, I'd be all over this. GLWS.
