WTB: Old Titanium MTB (hardtail or YBB)

Wanted: Your old Ti MTB frameset.
Litespeed / Merlin / Moots / etc... Hardtail or YBB simple rear suspension. Canti OK, disc compatible a plus. Size around 18"... 16" ok but 20" too big. Let me know what you've got hanging and collecting dust... I need a new fireroad project bike! Thanks.

Yes... but probably out of the budget. Let me know what you're thinking. Thanks.

Interesting with the EBB. Looks like it can be run with gears or SS.

I have one and love it.

By flyhippy's Litespeed. Needs nothing. Radical seller and among the world's finest pack and ship artistes. Bet it takes longer to unpack than it does to ship!!

I have a Dean Colonel with canti and disc mounts. Old school graphics...Dean said from early 90's. Obviously, the disc mount was a later modification.

I'll have to look later, but I'm pretty sure the seat tube is 18" and the top tube is 22". I'm 5'7" with average enough proportions.

I could be convinced to let it go to an enthuasiast PM if interested and I'll be sure to take some pictures.

Nobody wants 26" wheels any more (as what was fine for decades suddenly won't roll ).
There are some great deals out there.

Yeah, I want to go back to v-brakes and ancient suspension forks, too.

Bikes have improved a lot since the 90s.

V-brakes work fine. Lighter and simpler than discs.

For that Litespeed, I'd maybe do a fork with a disc and live with v-brakes in the back. ...cause after all 70%+ of your braking happens in the front!

Thanks and still looking

Thanks for the replies and offers so far! Still looking... ideally a frame not a complete. Budget around $500... I've seen some older Litespeeds/ Mongoose/ TST/ Airboune go for that on Ebay lately. I certainly don't need the latest and greatest... this is going to be a drop bar fireroad franken-bike. The suspension will be mostly air... air in the tires that is. Thought I'd check here first. Thanks again!
