Affordable Re-sprays?

If I want to have a steel frame re-sprayed in a team color, like 7-eleven, etc., where in US or Canada is a good place to go that won't break the bank??
I realize you get what you pay for, but I'm not looking for a work of art (Joe Bell...), just looking for a decent clean job that won't break the bank.

Thanks!

give marinoni a call

copied from another thread:

The paint job, prices goes from $225.00 up to $300.00. For your request the price will be closer to $225...

If we have to take the parts off the frame we do a Tune-Up C ($115.00) witch include a full parts clean up, rebuild of the hubs, headset.etc.

tunaround time is 6 to 8 weeks

Regards.

Matt Assenmacher

Check out Matt Assenmacher in Flint, Michigan. I am dropping off my ti Serotta to him on Saturday. Very reasonable prices. Quoted me $427 for a "Panel" scheme, decals, and clearcoat. Also includes the removal of my old finish, sanding, etc. Read good things about his work. Used to build frames back in the day. Check out his site. Pics are not of the best quality but looks like nice work. Matthew.

ask your LBS

If you're not in a local focused biking organization (bike club or mtn bike club) you should give them a shout. 0There's plenty of guys around that paint frames on the side---usually they're folks working in auto body shops. I'm in the process of getting a re-do on one of my bikes, single-color metallic+decal application (my hands aren't that steady) for $120. If you go to one of the big shops that specializes in bike frames, be prepared to keep them in business.

Velocolour (Toronto) is not the cheapest, especially if it involves a lot of masking like a 7-11 paint scheme. But Noah's work is spectacular. You get what you pay for. Worth giving him a call to get a quote. It depends how much you love your frame and want to invest in it

Being from Canada it's much less trouble having a frame repainted in Canada. Think customs.

As much as I love these guys I would not recommend them for refinishing. Pretty sure they will NOT make a team replica. And their paint is very fragile.

I'm not sure if Mike Berry is still painting in Toronto or not, but he did a wonderful job painting my forks!

Thanks all, have sent a bunch of inquiries out. Yeah, as much as I like Marinoni, I dont think they offer team color paint of other brand frames.
