Old Potatoe officially retired

and no doubt heading down to the local AARP office to order his walker and electric golf cart. But not to worry, Veccio’s remains in good hands, those attached to the arms of Jim Potter, the other wheel that kept/keeps Veccio’s rolling. A good man, Jim, lots of experience under his belt. Used to race long ago apparently. And still fast on a bike, I saw that last time I was in Boulder.

Just so everyone knows, anything I might now post about Veccio’s can be considered highly biased. The little guy in the photo to Jim’s left is my son; he is now a part owner of the shop and will be working with Jim. Thus, like virginity, my objectivity is permanently lost.

Here's a shot of the three of them taken by I don't know who.

Congratulations to all, young and not-so-young, as they move on to the next phase of their adventures.

The Moots family is thinking of giving up all of its interest in the olive oil business, settling out here. Now oldpotatoe will sell us his share of the bike shop, hotel and the casino so that it can be completely owned by the family.

Thanks Hank

Yep, time to do the 'next' thing in my life, grand daughters, more time with my better half, riding, of course. Vecchio's has been quite a ride and now, as you said, in good hands, along with your offspring.

But I'll still be here, along with my curmugeon-es.

Great gathering last night, too much beer and some really good scotch..

It's early, but as soon as it's light, on the Merckx to go check out the velodrome.

We'll do our level best to be entertaining.

Congrats on the 'semi-retirement'.
