Campy crank and bb compatibility question

OK, I have a Campagnolo Veloce ct crank that uses a square taper bb. I believe the spindle length required is 111mm. I also have a Campy Record bb with a 111mm spindle like this one:

Can I use this bb with the veloce ct crank? Or do I need the specific veloce bb like here:

Thanks!

That record BB looks like a 102 mm BB because of the recessed right cup. There is a 111 mm asymetrical Record BB for use with racing triple cranks that has a bulging right cup. There is also, I believe, a 111mm symetrical record BB for track use. I don't know if any of them will set up a Veloce crank with the right chainline or centered pedals.

Interesting. Does the cups make a difference? I ask because my Record bb has a 111 spindle with the 102 - recessed right cup. My understanding is it should fit or does it even matter?!

Use the bottom picture....it's a Veloce. They came in 111 symetrical or 115.5. Any Centaur 111 great also.

The Record is wrong one....it's either 102, or 111 asymetrical for triples. Or for track.

Edit.....Veloce/Centaur takes a different 111 symetrical spindle. Chorus/Record different design....takes the 102 symetrical

BTW....all have same chainline when mated to correct BB....so you can't use a crank needing a 111 on a 102. And you can't use the Chorus/Record double with 111. Sticks out too far.

I'm not sure what that would be, maybe it is the track BB.

No seals in the Record pista BB, the only difference. It will work fine but the inside the cup 'seals' aren't there. The one pictured, if it has a 111mm spindle, will be fine.
