Been a while.
One thing that always bothered me about this bike. The rear wheel wasn't straight in the dropouts, it cocked to the left. It wasn't an issue new since rims weren't that wide and honestly I didn't even notice it. It wasn't until I tried wider rims and had clearance issues and by that time Serotta wasn't exactly the place I wanted to try to warranty a bike from. Finally, I just took a rasp file to the dropout and carefully removed material in just the right place. Now wheels track straight in the frame and I can finally use modern width wheels. First up is the pair of 44 tubs I had here. I also snagged the SRM from the classifieds here. Very happy about that! ![]() |

Love the horiz top tube and ... the absence of logos! It has that works machine vibe.

yeah, this thing is gorgeous. The tint on the tubes/fork looks amazing. I've been considering getting some Boyds myself, they really set this thing off now!

Yeah, right.
The paint wont blow off in the wind though. Super bike. Love the finish. |

Hey Eric, about half a year too late, but glad the SRM works out! It looks great on the bike... which was pretty stunning to begin with.
