chris king lockring question

does anyone know:

with the new campy compatible hubs: can you use the campagnolo lockring that comes with 10/11 speed cassettes on the king hub, or is there some reason why you need to use CK specific lockring?

The King lockring has longer threads for a supposedly more secure fit into the hub. The guy who built my wheels told me to use it instead of the campy ring. I don't really see why the campy ring wouldn't work though.

My only beef is that the hub comes with an 11 lockring and you have to buy the 12 separate. They won't sell the hub with a 12.
