I don't think its the post, its the current market, everything is on sale right now.

So it sucks for current sellers, but if you really want to sell and you drop the price enough it will sell.

I love that paint and that its RB, but it likely has a smaller market also.

Thanks, Karl! Appreciate this feedback.

I hate negotiating against myself but I am completely open to any offers that folks want to throw on the table.

What Karl said. The bike is rim brake and the vast majority of people looking for this particular bike have made the jump to disc and the market is flooded.

I personally love it and it would fit me. If I wasn't in the process of downsizing some things and having 3 road bikes here then I would make an offer. I only went on maybe a dozen pure road rides last year, so it's hard for me to justify another road bike!

What you guys are saying makes sense. I'm ok with keeping it but I don't know how much I'd actual end up riding so then when I see it staring at me from the wall I ...

bump for the poll. A few more votes and I'll make a decision to hold or repost a cleaned-up post to see if this helps get some traction.

I don't think the post is a mess, but I do think there is a "psycological effect" when someone new to this post sees the post was listed in August 2022 and the bike has not sold yet. Since they never witnessed the original listed price they wouldn't understand the level of price drops. Also, the fact that the groupset and wheels haven't sold at those prices leads me to believe that is the problem and/or because they aren't listed in title most buyers for those items aren't aware they are available in this post.

good points. I've been subject to this myself, speaking of the psychological piece. With regard to the post title, also great point and I've fixed this. I think this will eventually get a new post if it doesn't move soon.

When I see a post where someone isn't committed to selling, I move on. I don't want to fall in love with a bike only to find out the seller changed their mind. Are you committed now to letting it go? Sounds like it.

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve opened this posting hoping the same.

RE: this post. If this bike where my size, the ins and outs of this post wouldn't turn me off at all.

I do find it interesting that this hasn't sold. It's a 54 which is a size that is pretty much in the heart of sizing for so many (maybe a 56 is the most bought size?). But it does make me scratch my head. Here, we talk so much about how great rim brake and mech shifting are (and they really are terrific (4 of my 7 bikes are rim brake/mech shift)....however, it really seems like people vote with their wallets. Even here, in this space, it seems like so many are going to disc over rim brake. That's what I think is up.

A Tarmac is a killer riding bike. The geo is so good. The handling is racey but not skittish. This bike should have sold a long time ago. I think it's more that most buyers are looking for disc.
