Good place for a "social distancing" ride

https://cyclingtips.com/2020/03/come...gh-tajikistan/

When I read this article, I thought of the American tourists killed in Tajikistan in 2018. Anyone who does a cycling tour there is very brave.

Looks to me like eastern Montana's the place to be these days. (But don't get sick, because I bet it's a long haul to get to the nearest hospital.)

And the Gila Wilderness. No Tour this year, that's a good thing.

I've got friends in Las Vegas and with all the casinos and clubs closed down, they're cycling down the strip. Very Omega-Man like.

I've been riding down Hollywood Boulevard and the Sunset Strip. Very little auto traffic, almost no pedestrians. Eerie.

Seems like an opportunity to bring the individual pursuit back to the olympics as a safe alternative to pelotons.

Wow. That's a throwback and a pretty creepy movie for it's time.

Machias ME or anywhere up in the deep north woods. Northeast Kingdom of VT, which has awesome mountain biking looks pretty clean, if you can deal with mud season.

...A trip to VT would need to be self reliant as hotels and tourism infrastructure are shut.
