pulley wheels for Campy 10s RD vs 11s RD

Kogel is doing a 48 hour sale where if you buy a BB you get a free set of pulleys. Pretty sweet deal.

Here is where I need help - I run 10s Campy RD's on my bikes and they don't make pulley wheels for Campy 10s anymore. They state that their 11s pulleys Campy don't work on 10s RDs. I called about this and they said that the bolt diameter is different - that's the part that seems funky to me. I have spoken with a couple of mechanics and this didn't seem right to them either.

I have 11s pulleys on some of my Campy 10s RD's and they all work great - so I am wondering why Kogel ones wouldn't work.

Can anyone confirm if there was a bolt change for the pulleys between 10s and 11s Campy RD's? Or why this might not work?

The bike that I want to put these on has a Campy 11s chain.

It's not that I NEED some pulley wheels - the ones on all my bikes are just fine.

The Kogel ones are perdy though.

There are lots of places retailers stocking and selling Campagnolo 10spd pulleys, like these:

https://www.universalcycles.com/shop...53&category=71

http://ie.treefortbikes.com/product/...ed-Pulley.html

http://www.bikeman.com/DP9803.html

This was just a 2 minute search. There are many others.

I think everyone is missing the point. “They” in the OPs original post refers to Kogel.

The man wants kogel pulley wheels since they’re free and wants to know if the 11sp will work

2009 +, 11s pulleys are 11tooth, 2008 and older pulleys are 10tooth. Larger pulleys may hit the cage on some rear ders. Later 10s rears (2011+?)did use 11t pulleys. Which 10s rear der are you using? How many teeth on these ‘11s’ pulleys?

As far as ‘10s pulleys not made anymore’, they are and easy to find.

Record 10s rear derailleurs with the short carbon cage. I had had 11t pulleys on them before. The Kogel 11s Campy pulleys are 11t.

If the 11t works for on that der, the Kogel ones should also. Bolt diameters non-issue.
