...with, get this, a matching MTB: Schwinn Paramount PDG mountain 19" COMMITTER/URBAN Bike.
Complete bicycle; $475 shipped BIN OBO.

Someone should hop on these. The road frames don't come up that often and the 90 series M.B. was top dog.

No kidding.

One buyer + Best Offer = two matched bicycles at a great price. It seems like a hell of a good deal to me if the fit and interest are there. $850 or even less for both, shipped, easy I bet.

I have had "Paramount" saved in eBay for several years at least, and I'm certain that this is the first R/W/B Panasonic OS I have seen (other than yours, here). I've never seen the mtb before.

The condition looks good too. I'm surprised that these are still around.

EDIT: the road frameset already sold. Someone was smart.

Yeah, I know of two others but don't know how many were made of the road version. The M.B was standard production run but still a very quality bike. They also did a TIG prototype at the same time that was all white. I've seen one up for sale but in rough shape.

Crazy thing is that a lot of folks don't consider them "true" Paramounts since they weren't made in Waterford. All I can say is that mine is time and again faster on the same routes every time when compared to my 1987 Waterford Paramount. And that's with heavier wheels on the PDG and with it give up about 4 lbs to the 19 lb even Waterford one.

The paramount MTB is one of the most underrated bikes around. It´s tubing is very high end. Geometry is special as well since it´s fork had less rake just like the Fat Chance Yo Eddys.
There is nothing better out there when it comes to early 90s MTBs.
