Ride Today

Weather turned nice enough this afternoon for a short ride in Steilacoom. On a better day, you can usually see the Olympics from this view.

Not actually a gravel ride ... but I always have to stop when I pass this road closed sign, because it amuses me. (road closed, really?! never would have guessed!)

Rode 45 miles of this. This afternoon the heat index is 101 and the bugs are out but this trail is new to me. Its all like this with only three access points in 25 miles. There is nobody, I mean nobody out on it. Tons of deer, turkeys and bald eagles on the Little Maquoketa river this trail follows.
I only took one photo.

mzilliox - awesome pics and route!

While I did 25 scenic miles today that includes a few miles of gravel, it didn't look anything like that! Very envious!

Did 80 miles with 8,100 from of vertical! Colorado Springs to Conifer via Woodland Park, Deckers, Buffalo Creek, and Foxton.

Beautiful day, hot and tough ride but fun.IMG_20180526_075919_1-01.jpgIMG_20180526_113626-01.jpgIMG_20180526_105610-01.jpgIMG_20180526_090635-01.jpegIMG_20180526_113102-01.jpgIMG_20180526_093549-01.jpegIMG_20180526_113042-01.jpg

Nice composition! (except for that small human creature over on the left!)
