Just bought a 5 piece group “or best offer” on eBay for $950.00 shipped! Not that I need another group, but at that price, it’s hard to pass up!

Amazing company! Delivered to me on Sunday! $950.00 including 2 day Sunday delivery!...https://www.ebay.com/usr/piermontbik...53.m2749.l2754

Do you have a link for that 5 piece group at $950 shipped?
Thanks

I offered $950.00 and it was immediately accepted.

Funny. Except that the collaboration is actually across the entire offering you've described, it's Qualcomm and its connected healthcare subsidiary, not GE Healthcare, and in his last action before leaving Congress Darrell Issa has introduced legislation requiring all bike manufacturers to adopt this standard.

Shimano has to reinforce their FD too. I don't see how they could make it without.

Just checked QBP and yes, 40% discount, altho QBP doesn't have any...from sram, it looks like. I'm guessing the new, whizbang, 12s stuff is 'on the way'..
As of last night, road eTap wasn't discounted to shops. eTap Hydrodisc was.

I suspect distributors are trying to move the stuff they have on hand(and they paid more for). Doesn’t sound like any relief from sram().

Imagine having a halo bike from the big-three on your floor with eTap - how do you convince someone a bike is worth $12K when you can get the group for <$1K on eBay???

It's a cutthroat business out there for sure...and makes zero sense unless SRAM is cash poor and really needs to move product to afford production on the 12-speed stuff.

Is this really any different then any other producer of goods? You can get a great deal on a current year Honda when the new year models are soon to arrive (even more so if it is a full redesign). Same with a Sony TV, iphone, 2018 model video game, Nike sneakers, etc.

I think the folks buying the halo bikes are less impacted by now being able to get some of the parts for a couple hundred dollars less. I think the tough sell on the current halo bikes is that folks who are going to spending that much anyway are going to want to have the latest and greatest unless there is some discount for getting the current and soon to be last generation of product.
