I just bought a four pack for a lot more money, and my eyes bugged out of my head
... then I realized that these aren't the 4 seasons. Carry on... |

That's a very good price for Continental GP tires. But keep in mind that these tires are step below the GP 4000/5000. The GP tire uses a lower thread count casing and a PolyAx breaker (anti-puncture layer), whereas the higher lever Continental tires have higher thread count casings and Vectran breakers. Consequently, they aren't quite as compliant and have a little higher rolling resistance.
On the other hand, aero wheel maker SwissSide has tested their wheels with a variety of different Continental tires, and found that their wheels have lower aero drag with the GP tires than the GP 4000 or the GP TT - and when mounted backward, the GP tire had even less aero drag than when mounted forward: https://www.swissside.com/blogs/news...he-wind-tunnel |

Probably not. There's little data on tire traction at all, let alone how the direction of the tire affects it. |

The GP4S also appears to be on sale. This suggests that an update is expected soon. Great tires for winter and shoulder seasons.
