quick rim and tire question...

Can I mount a 35c tire with a 17mm (25mm exterior) rim? The ETRTO guides say it's OK, but I'd like to get some feedback from Forum members.

Thanks!

Yes. No issues.

In the early days of 29ers, we ran 2.1 and 2.2 tires on rims that size.

CX bikes with 35mm tires have used rims narrower than that for years.

I ride my `cross bike with 33cm CX and 38cm 'gravel' tires on Open Pros a lot, never a problem. Go for it.

same here..."raced" CX on 32s and had fun on 38s on "narrow" mavic ksyrium elites for years. This was not by choice...it was all we had before rims got wider.
