OT: woman sailor kicking butt - Cole Brauer
I know squat about sailing but an article in our Sunday paper about this woman and this race got me googling. What a gal!!! Her instagram journal is way cool. Personality and looks don't hurt either. A new social media celebrity who deserves some fame. Good on her.

Well, I hope she can get funding and maybe try the Vendee. The boats are much bigger (Imoca 60) and the race is much faster - current record 74 days for the monohull. (the multi-hull foils are doing this in 40 days. but that is full crew)
It's sad at 5'1", the Ocean Global committee said she was too short for the southern ocean and wouldn't let her compete as part of a crew. Bull**** if you ask me. Old guys running sport attitudes die hard. Maybe we should send in Bruce Willis on once last mission- A better day to die hard.
