White Industry Violet

Purple/violet WI hubs have bleached a bit, not quite as bright, over 1&1/2 years (7K miles) while road cycling in nearly constant sun here in SoCal.

The extractor cap - still looks colorful. Headset - nearly white.

Still works for me, as color is important but don't feel the need to be totally matchy-matchy and I do not see myself ever selling my Caletti bike.

I find a lot of anodized colors to have a weird washed-out/not-so-vivid character to them even when new. I love gold ano, and blue sometimes looks okay, most others not so much.

@Mr B thanks for the Dawn info, I wash my frames with it, but I wash them so rarely I think they are safe

I love a pop of color. Rode a set of purple BHS hubs hard for many years - were more pink by the end of my ownership but still attractive.

Currently riding BHS red hubs on my full-squish. Can't report yet on color longevity, only 2 ish years in.

These cool-colored hubs turn into an even cooler color over time? Sounds like a win-win.

It took over 15 years of hard use for my black Chris King HS to go from black to kind of a gunmetal black/brown. I thought it was kind of cool looking. A well-earned patina.

turns out a skippy PB jar fit's perfectly in a typical bottle cage, and quite securely. Totally water tight too. On longer unsupported rides, when I want to carry more than one spare tube, it's a great option for that and a few small tools, etc.

And....

Since I love PB&J sandwiches - FREE!!

Speaking of spare tubes, you might want to check out that rear tire....
