Time ADHX

Recently got this ADHX with Campy Ekar. First time with 1X, first time with Tubeless, first time with discs. Quite a blast!

That looks superb. I was thinking of this frame primarily for road with 32mm tires - I am thinking about it even more after seeing yours!

Nice bike! How does it ride?

I’m seriously considering one for myself.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on how it rides compared to some of your other bikes.

Thanks

I don't suppose I'm the best one to ask since it's my first gravel bike, with my other bikes being road or track. Obviously a road bike with smooth 25s or 28s is going to be faster. But I can say that I really like it both on road and off. I'm running 35s and it's a really smooth bike, no matter the surface. It feels pretty fast on the road even with the somewhat knobby tires, and it's very happy off-road as well.

And the finish on the bike is even better in person. Also, the mechanic was glowing in terms of building it up, the tolerances, and the quality of the frame.

God I love the carbon weave aesthetic. Very distinct coloring on this bike as well. Makes me wonder if it's less optimal than a unidirectional layup. Or, if the weight penalty for using the twill weave given an equivalent stiffness/strength is negligible. Perhaps the extra material is the sacrifice made for such a beautiful look.

Here are some close-up shots of the weave. I went to the shop where I bought it, and the owner, Dan, had just received one in the green color, so I took a few snaps of that one as well. The guy is a solo shop located here in San Diego called XL Velo. Super nice guy, does great work, and sells Time, and I think Bixxis too.

I don’t think many carbon bikes are beautiful (more like purposeful), but these Time frames are.
