Colnago C50, Wilier Filante & Ridley Kanzo Fast

I just posted my Seven on the custom thread so here's the fleet of carbon production bikes. I was hesitant to post these bikes on this site since they are not steel or ti but hey, at least I threw in the C50 for street cred. If anyone wants details on the build or ride experience on any of 'em please ask away!

Absolute street cred on that C50! VERY NICE!

That Willier is smokin', and just screams NorCal Masters Crit Racer to me.

That Ridley is hot too.

What do you use each bike for? Are there good rides for the sweet Ekar built Ridley to enjoy being on dirt?

Nice. Those are some BIG bikes. The dropped stays on the Ridley are wild and sure make the front triangle look more squarish. Nice fleet for sure.

Very nice rides; and it looks like we are about the same height too.

That C50 is a looker!

Thanks for all the positive comments!

The C50 is a size 65 that a nice retired doc in SoCal had carbon repaired so I bought if for a song and found a NOS fork for it. It's a little misaligned as the rear wheel is won't line up perfectly even between the stays but I've done fast group rides and a few centuries on it with zero tracking or handling issues.

The Filante is a wonderful all around frame and it's my choice for fast group rides. Even when I raced I was a road race guy and avoided crits for the most part - too much argy bargy and I was a top ten kinda sprinter at best. Plus, it's too purty and I typically rode my Seven ti in crits so if I got knocked over I might break but the Seven wouldn't. I'm curious to see how Cav gets on with his new frosted blue Astana Filante this year as he is notoriously finicky.

I'd probably fit a tad better on a size smaller Kanzo but now that I've ridden it a bunch I like that it's set up higher than my other bikes on the front end. It's actually a great road bike with 28s and a 9-36 cassette. It doesn't turn quickly (as you'd expect) but as long as you realize it's handling limitations it's fine in "road mode." The Vittoria Next 32s I have on it in the fender pic plump out to 35 and I wouldn't hesitate to do a century with that set up. It's pretty plush, in fact.

I haven't ridden much gravel on the Kanzo yet - the stuff we have close by is all 20% up and down and I don't enjoy that. But we do have plenty of great gravel within a 30 - 60 minute drive so I'll start venturing out more in the Spring. I'm just dipping my gravel toes back in the water after having a serious crash two years ago in a gravel race (Huffmaster Grasshopper). I absolutely love Ekar - the braking is phenomenal and so much better than AXS or Shimano. If they come out with EPS Ekar I'd put it on the Wilier in a heartbeat. The 44t ring with a 9-36 provides great road gearing. I have a 9-42 on the gravel wheelset.

All bases covered and nice group of bikes there. I feel I would gravitate towards that c50 more often than not

Yep, the C50's no slouch and I would never call it a Sunday cruiser. Oscar Freire and many others won a ton of races aboard it.

Hi Jet - FSA headset and Spesh S Works stem. I wanted something simple and subtle for the stem.
