If you want a more permanent fix, there are tubeless tire patch kits. I've used this one personally on light-weight MTB tires to patch tears or cuts so large no plugs could seal them:
https://www.rematiptop.com/products/...t-5060160.html I don't think it's necessary in the situation you described, but if you are truly worried then patching is an inexpensive peace of mind. |

I cut the exterior excess, re-sealed and inflated. Will check it tonight to see if it holds 70 psi. So far, it looks fine. If ok tonight, I'll ride it in AM.
Will report back. |

These are small enough for bike tires. Patch Size: 1 5/8" (42mm)
Stem Diameter: 3/16" (5mm) Should be able to find them on Amazon. https://tiresupplynetwork.com/produc...lug-combo-3-16

I have used a patch from the inside, vulcanizing fluid, and quick grips to create a permanent fix on both road and MTB tires. No issue long term, have the plugs, just haven't used one yet out on the road.

Not necessarily what the OG was asking about. For every tubeless conversion I do, or tubeless wheel set I sell, I sell with Vittoria airliners.

Holds air fine. Two days at 70psi. Rode it ~45miles up/down/around. If the plug was on the top of the tread or sidewall I'd have changed the tire but the hole was to the side slightly.
Plug looks good. |

But how many watts will be lost? 🤣

Epilogue (for those skeptical of Dyna Plugs).
Finally changed the tire after ~1000 miles (since road-side insertion of two dyna plugs to stop one leak). The tread was worn around the plugs so I figured it was time. The tire consistently held 70 psi for over a week before I would top it off. Two thumbs up for quality product. |

Impressive! Thanks for the follow up report, I've been wondering the same thing about dynaplugs.

Just wanted to follow up on this post with this picture, as it seems Lezyne is finally making these available for bicycle tires. As seen at the Taipei Cycle Show 2023.

I have two tires still in service that have plugs in them. Not the slightest bit concerned. |
