Beautiful and interesting. Some cool touches - they can be disassembled, the board held together by spokes and tension. The board edges are rims - how did you straighten the rims??

What spokes/guages, tension - Did use a tensiometer or just by pitch? (just kidding). Seriously- both visible board edges appear to have nipples-are the spokes threaded both ends?

I said it last time you posted this (a few years back at least?), this is simply remarkable. Absolutely love it!!! A one-off build I assume? Campy should have made these.

Have you shared this with the mother ship? I bet they would love it ….

I must echo WGP's comments: Campy missed an opportunity here--they should pay you for the idea and make it.

I must also say, the campy vs shimano is great, and wish that was pictured.

I'm assuming it is far too labor intensive, but if you could do a simpler design as far as creating the pieces, you could probably sell quite a few. I don't even play, but my son does; and I'd get him one.

I'd also have one on our coffee table, even though my wife would make me dust it!

I got the rims from Velocity, they sold me the extruded rims before they machine rounded them. Yes i brazed spokes together so both ends are threaded.

The pawns are in wrong row just for one of the pics.

I have shared this with Campagnolo just over this weekend, will see if they might reply.

I can only make 5 sets like this with the parts i have, A second set that is nearly done.

Why not make the frame for the board out of using bicycle frame tubing, either chromed or painted, and use lugs for the corners? Then you could charge more for the construction of the board, make it an optional board.
