Cool geomery comparison site. geometry geeks

Found this site last night when looking for the geo of a bike. Pretty cool. Much nicer than flipping between tabs/windows.

Nice site, but if you're comparing the fit of two different sizes, remember that the reach values can't be compared directly, when the stack is significantly different. To fit the same, with a 2cm difference in stack, assume that 2cm of spacer would be used on the smaller size and the reach on the smaller size is then about 6mm shorter. Then you have an accurate reach comparison.

Cool idea, it'd be fantastic if it could be reliable -- but could you really trust it? In the cases where they get numbers from the manufacturer, we have to remember that whether or not they say "specifications subject to change without notice", they are. And in the cases where any fool with a plastic ruler is allowed to send in numbers for their own bike... well, have you ever spent any time on one of those sites for lyrics of popular songs?

Basing an expensive purchase on something as uncontrolled as that seems risky.

Maybe you could use it to rule out a few things that are way off what you want?

If in doubt, double check at the manufacturer's website. I asked for some colnago frame info and it was correct - right from the manfacturer.
