I love a metal head badge. I am surprised when gorgeous bikes just put a decal on the HT - it seems cheap. It doesn’t make you think twice when the builder offers a nice head badge for $125 though! Maybe a $.25 decal would suffice

Vintage
I like some of the vintage headbages too, though many of the modern ones are stunning. When I was living in Europe I took photos of dozens of head tube badges from brands I'd never heard of before, or that I hadn't known made bikes once upon a time (like the Husqvarna badge). The high-end models of those pre-WWII bikes often had fender ornaments, like car hod ornaments -- those are cool too.
