OT: Why isn't there an OT forum?

I come here for bike stuff. There are a million other options for OT stuff. Maybe most people are like me?

Ordinarily i wouldnt close an inquiry like this, but i've written down my feelings on the topic and the various reasons we dont have a separate OT section SO many times that it's easier to just link to another thread on the topic rather than re-type what i have so many times before.

check this one for starters.

bottom line is the blending of on-topic and off is part of the DNA of this forum that has worked well for so many years, so it's highly unlikely we will diverge from that.
