They appear to have been the hot ticket, can't find a 175 anywhere.

A TA Carmina is definitely on my short list.

Thanks for the link, unfortunately the XD2 appears to have a ~168mm Q factor. Looking for 10-15mm less than that.

Does such a triple exist? I had a TA Zephyr with the kind of rings you want and I didn't find its "Q" too wide for me but I don't know what its "Q" measured. I think when Rivendell sold some Sugino triples 15-20 years ago they bragged that they had narrow "Q" unlike "birthing" cranks sold elsewhere.

Is the old Ritchey Logic triple too wide a Q-factor? (I don't know what it measures.)

The Rene Herse is the benchmark for low Q triples at 153mm, old Ritchey Logics or Sugino AT can achieve <160mm. I believe the TAs (Zephyr & Carmina) are in the 160mm range. Modern Suginos and anything using an external BB approaches or surpasses 170mm.

Been watching this, an old 110/74 Ritchey Logic would be ideal. I've got two in 180mm, need 175mm for my wife.

There is a nice looking 175mm Mavic 637 on eBay right now. This crank was Grant Petersen’s favourite low-q-factor triple, even ahead of the Ritchey Logic.

I probably have an old diatribe written by Grant about the wonderfulness of the Mavic 637 stored somewhere...
