Fully threaded QR question or, please explain hubs to me

I'm looking to bid on some Ringle quick release skewers on ebay that have fully threaded rods.

I wonder if the threaded rods might wear down the interior shaft of the hub. However, I don't really understand if or how the rod/axle of the QR (road, rim brake rim) comes into contact with the hub interior. Anyone care to explain this to me?

axles are made out of hardened steel. it won’t be a problem. heck, axles are hard to wear down even with a file.

The threaded rod is likely a replacement from original. I've got both cam twists(holey) and the flat twister version and neither are fully threaded.
