Tubeless rim tape

How do you get rid of bubbles in the tape? I have a heat gun. I might try that.

As you apply the tape, use your thumb to press the air out. If you get a bubble, lift up and try again. Small ones will eventually go away.

What he said or put a tire and TUBE on, pump up the tire/tube to max-ish of the tire..that squeezes out bubbles also.

Does anyone know with any certainty what tape Reynolds uses from the factory? I have a new roll of the 8896 here, but reluctant to use it if it's the same stuff they use. The factory tape job has failed within the first 10 days. Never had any issues w/ Stans tape on my Nox or i9 rims, so leaning towards paying the premium for it even though it's not as sticky as I'd like.
