Caletti Adventure Road Bike

After dozens of bikes, I decided I was ready to try a custom frame about this time last year and after speaking with numerous custom Ti builders (Bingham, Hampsten, Mosaic, 333Fab, Moots), I arrived at John Caletti. There were a variety of reasons but mostly he makes killer bikes, lives close by, and is a good human.

Anyhow, ordered in the winter and should be picking it up in the next few weeks. I figured I’d post a few pics of the raw frame and then some glamour shots once it’s done.

The geo looks a little more “aggressive.” What’s the max tire clearance?

How far out is his current waitlist?

Nice! I could easily make that work with a hair more seat setback, maybe (or maybe not needed) a 120 stem. But since I have my Alliance I don't need to wait for you to put it up for sale years from now

Looks like a great bike; eager to see the build pics. Congrats.

Titanium with the Enve all-road fork so tire clearance maxes out at 38mm. I wanted a blend between my Moots PsychloX and my Colnago C40. So, definitely something more ‘aggressive’ than the current ‘gravel’ bikes coming out. Essentially, a go-fast road bike that fits bigger tires and handles descending on dirt/pavement with equal stability. Wait time is about 4-6 months, and current hold up is just industry related supply constraints.

When I called my short list builders at the beginning of January, Caletti was 8 months out, Bingham was 4, and Strong was 5. All terrific builders!

In terms of the build, it’s going to be a mix of Di2 GRX and Dura Ace. Chris King finishes and Enve 3.4 AR wheels. Caletti ti Seatpost and stem. I went all in! Should be pretty amazing when it’s done!

Media blasted finish with anodized Caletti logo (outline font). I wanted it pretty clean and simple but with some color. Turquoise CK parts and a complimentary anodized color.
