Very interesting. He should never have let Rasmussen start if there were questions about his non-participation in the required 'out of competition' tests.

Anyone else remember his great interview with John Tesch (or his co-anchor, can't remember) when he was racing Paris Roubaix sometime in the 80's??? It was late in the race, and a very wet year, and Theo had flatted I believe and was getting into the team car. He was covered from head to foot with mud, and when asked about how bad it was, he went on with a litany about how horrible conditions were, you worked like dogs, and pissed your pants, etc. etc., etc. Then Tesch asked with hushed solemnity, would he ever do the race again, and De Roy said, "well of course, its the most beautiful race in the world"..... at which point they both cracked up...
