Well that was a steady, chilling rain. Sorry I could not make it for any of the other rides, and I bailed pretty quickly afterwards. As soon as I got off the bike I was shivering pretty bad and did not have enough warm clothes.

Wonderful event, nice people, great course. Can't wait to come back. Ted was gracious enough to wait for me on the final climb and I was pleased to ride in with him.

Reformed pal, you are one tough cookie along with the others who braved the rain, the wind, the mud, the hills... while I chickened out of the whole ride completely.

I have Doug pal gave me a ride back to Eric's cabin, changed back to my pajamas, made some steaming hot Ramen soup and basically sat or slept on the couch watching Netflix all day long.

Well, I have a soft spot for some good late season mud - to an extent (has to be part of an event or planned ride, otherwise I'm hitting the trainer these days).

It's too bad the beautiful weather we had for the last month didn't make it one or two more days for this great event, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hope you got some other good rides in on your trip!

Survivors

We gathered some survivors for the Sunday ride this morning. It was crisp, to put the temperature in a positive light, but a beautiful ride.

I echoes what Hill pal said, having experienced first hand the warm hospitality of not just CNY rider but his entire family was mobilized to participate and make us feel welcome, that's incredible and yes, thank you for hosting this event for quite a number of years now, it is such a privilege to be part of it, I hope I can join again in the future.
