'the bank'.

Which domain sits behind the link? You can report it as fraudulent to the domain registrar if its a reputable registrar.

I did not go anywhere near the link, just reported it to Pinkbike. They are already awere of the problem. I would just mention it here also.

Like I said in another thread. After having a pink bike account for about 20 years I went ahead and deleted it. Nothing but scammers hanging out on there.

yet another reason to only have our general discussion and classifieds only show up to members signed in.. won't catch all, but will certainly weed out many I bet..

Since Keith is out, I've been screening new member requests here. We have gone from a handful a day to many times that, and the number of obvious scammers/spammers attempting to sign up for the forum is crazy. Having to approve members and manually screening each is getting overwhelming, in fact.

It seems to me there is a recent huge uptick in this kind of bad actor activity.

Yes, be careful out there.

Did anyone look at 'onewheeldrive'?

Not claiming scammer but appeared to be posting only to qualify for the classifieds.

It must be happening across the board b/c it is a major problem on the Rennlist forums and even saw a few recent ones on the Tacoma forums. So bad on RL that I won't do any transactions unless they're in person now.

I got at least 3 of the messages from Pinkbike too.

All kinds of scams running wild these days. I used a debit card for the first time in about 3 yrs and a couple hours later had notices of fraudulent charges in London. Cards & charges cancelled and cards reissued.

Not true. I just bought a $5k bike I found on PinkBike and the seller was as honest and forthright as any seller I’ve ever bought from on any forum or website anywhere. Total transparency, he followed up to make sure I was satisfied and helped with a warranty claim when something wasn’t right.

From PinkBike. Yes, be careful. Use common sense. Protect yourself. But there are honest sellers and buyers out there.
