ST bearings on Ottrott GS?

The Serotta brake bolt thread sent me over to @coolplanetbikes' site, and I noticed that he has replacement Ottrott ST bearings, which got me wondering: is it possible to "upgrade" an Ottrott GS by installing these bearings?

I'm very happy with my GS but nevertheless curious, having heard others extol the virtues of the superior ride delivered by these bearings.

Thanks in advance you Serotta experts.

Odd…crickets. Bump in case this was lost in the avalanche of more tantalizing posts like hand-cut hay.

I was going to do that but his eBay page says he's out of town, just figured I'd ask the broader Paceline/Serotta braintrust. If no one else chimes in I'll send him a PM.

Brian answered the question in this thread:

The answers isn’t an unqualified “no,” but it’s pretty close.

Thanks, and apologies for my surprisingly poor search efforts (especially considering that the thread is barely 2 months old).
