Tablesaws where to sell
My late father had a couple Unisaws and assorted fences (Biesemeyer fences and a couple unifences)
One saw I think is a 1947 from the serial the other is 1997. Any thoughts on best place to try and sell this aside from FB? Anyone have forums that frequent for woodworking

I visit luthier specific forums and when ever someone posts that they just scored a new old table saw like that it's almost always on FB or Craigslist. Much less Craigslist these days it seems but it's still useful.

So it will be.
No clue what these are worth, they've been sitting in not the driest of conditions. It seems like well sorted can get a premium.

In addition to this place, I also waste time on Garagejournal.com. They've got a vintage tool discussion section and also a classifieds.

The tops are definitely gonna need some attention, the uni fences were new in box but again poorly stored so some condition problems. The other fences seem fine. I also might have extensions that I missed, thought they were for a drill press but I mightve been wrong.

There is a woodworking website called Lumberjocks.
Definitely try Craigs list. Those are very heavy items so it’s got to be local or someone willing to drive. Unisaws are highly regarded, but old ones lack the safety features that new saws have.

The is a FB group named: Everything USED Woodworking Tools & Equipment For Sale or Trade".
Prices/values vary greatly for Unisaws. Condition, tilt direction (right or left, (left being a bit more desirable & rarer for a Unisaw), motor size and phase (1 or 3 phase), fence system & length, Table extension with or without a router lift & router, assembled/unassembled will all factor into the value and sale price. Unifence systems, rails & fence, enjoy a following and have value. The grey saw looks to be a 40's Unisaw. The rust and probable pitting will hurt its value. The motor cover is rare. Many prefer the older saws mass for smooth running & vibration dampening. A Unifence, or Biesemeyer fence would have been added later to the saw. The beige saw looks to be a Tilting Table Saw, not a Unisaw. It will not have the value or a unisex. I have seen Unisaws listed for as low as $500 to over $2k. Due diligence time on value & desirability will likely be rewarded. From the outside looking in, I would assemble the Unisaw with a Biesemeyer Fence & clean the top prior to sale. I would assemble the Tilting Table Saw with the smaller lighter fence in the photo & clean the saw. If no other saws, I would sell the remaining Biesemeyer and 2 Unifences independently. If by chance you are near Maryland, I might be interested in one of the Unifence rail & fence systems. Good luck with the sale.

It's been covered, but a personal data point. I sold my Unisaw on Facebook Marketplace a couple of years ago--fairly easily, with no flakes. I think that these tend attract people who know what they are...
(I had already spruced it up, including cleaning some mild rust off the top, and painting the chassis, only to end up with a Sawstop.)

Those are the tags on them.
I'll have to refer to the limited notes I have but they're both 220 1947 is lert tilt, the 1997 right tilt and was new never used. Last edited by catchourbreath; 10-29-2024 at 11:57 AM.
