Used to own one just couple years ago, REALLY liked it. I thought the build quality was excellent, on par with any custom builder. I sold it as it was just a little too big, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another - in the right size. If the one I had fit correctly, I’d still have it.
If I remember correctly, it was also lighter than comparable Ti frames. Guru did spectacular work. They have re-emerged as T-Lab, check them out. Doing some cutting edge design. Their manipulation of the tubing is impressive. http://t-lab-bikes.com/ |

There was some internet drama nonsense about the quality of the Ti welds based on some video, but I always found their bikes first rate. Always well made and finished in my experience. Was sad to see them close down.

I’d agree with the other comments. I was in the process of ordering a custom Praemio disc when they went under. I regret not starting the process earlier. They tended to be quite stiff, so I wouldn’t expect it to be a cruiser. I can’t remember how they offered to tune this on a custom frame (butting, tube selection?), so this particular frame may be different.
My local dealer had a few of them and they were great. I ride with someone who has a somewhat older Praemio and likes it, with no durability issues. Last edited by bitpuddle; 02-17-2019 at 07:31 AM. |

I owned the Praemio R version and the build quality was excellent. The R was stiffer, had shorter 1" chainstays compared to the regular Praemio. It was the most responsive titanium frame I've ridden to date.

I have a Guru SVEL' Ti bike (model before the Praemio). The frame has just enough clearance for Conti 28s. I can ride the bike smooth gravel roads. What I like most about the SVEL'Ti is the price of a used frame compared to a Praemio and other high end Ti bikes.

If you buy an earlier model with the G-Unit RD Hanger, make sure to buy one from this seller as backup. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Guru-Praemi...frcectupt=true
