My group is called Neptunes Rangers. Mostly all ocean white water play.
I also build strip boats and skin on frame (SOF) Greenland ocean kayaks.
Having a difficult time loading pictures of my boats.

OT: show me your canoe or kayak

Lots of cool looking boats here. I wish I had garage space to store a fleet of them.
NHAero, I don’t think the newtricks boat would be very good for what you are describing. They are more for small lakes and ponds.

I like how the red stripe on the boat matches the van.

Tarpon T120

I have a wilderness systems T120 that I have set up for fishing the susquehanna river with. I'll have to find a few pics. I carry 5 or 6 rods and a milk create full of boxes and bags, front and rear anchor systems, camera mount and a few other mounts for other necessary tools and equipment.
I also have a pair of T100 sot yaks that I will guide with when I am laid off over the summer.

My trusty Pungo, in the middle of the Merrimack River. Have to admit that those Hornbeck canoes look pretty sweet- and weigh a lot less. Hmmm- add a couple of float bags.....

Wow! Did you use a fishing pole, or did you club it to death?

I want that stripper!!!!!!! That (if you haven't had it) the best fish possible to eat (yes my opinion). I don't fish so have to buy it for 20.00lb when it is available.

I'm not a kayak or canoe guy, but a good friend of mine designed, built and is now selling this rack, designed primarily with a kayak in mind. Call this a shameless plug.

Swam her next to the yak for 10 minutes or so to revive her, then sent her happily on her way.

Vintage Current Design Solstice GTS

Bought three years ago when we moved to Cape Cod. The pond in the photo is 2.5 miles in circumference, an 8 minute walk from our house, a great place for a kayak workout!

The kayak was solid but needed some heavy cosmetics. I did some work with my Porter cable orbital polisher and the color came right back...then a couple of coats of marine wax went on top (and on the bottom).
