The thing about Firefly to me is that, even if some of the bikes are not to my taste (and those instances are rare), their output is a testament to their virtuosity. The breadth of their capabilities and talent (from a design and manufacturing perspective as well as an aesthetic one) is extraordinary, and they are constantly pushing the envelope of what is possible.
I agree that it is fascinating to dig through the archives (on their website, instagram, flickr, tumblr, in the gallery here, etc.) to see the evolution not only of their designs but also of their treatment of the bicycle frame as a canvas. |
