Taught my first frame building course this last week. It was a long journey in a short amount of time. Very happy to report that the student was receptive to instruction and didn't shy away from some long days (one nearly lasted 12 hours). Here are some of the memorable quotes from the student. The morning after the 12 hour day, "I like you, I don't know why." In the middle of many hours of filing and emery cloth, "Make sure to let your next student know the importance of clean brazing and if they don't believe you tell them to call me." Finally, as I closed the shop on the very last day, "I have never sweated so much in my life, I don't like to sweat and I mean that." Long as it was I am happy to say I made a new friend, can't wait to hear the ride report. Class dismissed.
