You'll probably need to massage those CS sockets quite a bit if you are using current production MAX tubes...We had a bear of a time repairing my '94 Vittorio Strada MAX...went thru 4 CSs to find 2 that kinda worked.

Where did you score the lugset?

Thanks for the tip, this is actually an original max tubeset. The chainstays needed only slight crimping to fit the shell, similar to fitting fork blades. I picked this up in a trade, came from an Italian builder who had the parts stashed away. So far I am only modifying the lugs as I am not sure yet what to build with it.
