Riding through NE Portland at the end of yesterday's club hammerfest and this mural caught my eye.

End of Reel

We have already posted a bunch of pictures on the D2R2 thread but this is like the "End of the reel" pic and probably the only one taken with Mr and Mrs PaMTBRider 's beautiful Kirks.

I spent almost a week up in NY staying with BumbleBeeDave and doing D2R2. These are the places I have been to on my bike, other than D2R2. You might recognize some of them...

Just Leif.

Easy to head up Thurman and do an out and back before work.

Weekday mornings are a dream, pretty much empty up there.

60 miles and 7000 feet of climbing, 60% gravel on roads around Hood River, Mosier and the Dalles. Compass Bon Jon pass tires held up well but made for some hairy descents, took a spill but left with pure satisfaction on the day.

It was still too early for the sunset, so we went up Southpark instead...

Still loving everything about my custom Carver ti gravel machine. This was a 50miler through forest roads southeast of Portland OR. Lots of climbing, excellent surface, great vistas and not another person, car etc for 50miles.
