250 watts for this one
I have no clue how that would feel in real life situation but open to giving it a try:

update
a woman in my club is getting the carbon Gain E in the next few days. She was all excited so I re-googled reviews and came up with this not so good one. Wonder if the Trek Domane+ is better designed? Bet yes.

We have miles and miles of paved trails in my area. And many many people are interested in owning E bikes for use on trails away from traffic. And I'm seeing lots of E bikes. Some seem to be extremely powerful and fast....way to fast for MUT use.
Some states are making it illegal to operate the fast E bikes on MUT's with walkers, joggers, dog walkers, etc. ....maybe above 250 watts or so.....on multi use trails. I imagine that is direction my state will go. Makes sense to me. A bike shop guy told me he thought eventually the only E bikes allowed on paved trails would have to be 250 watt or less, and with pedal assist only.....no throttle. For other non MUT uses....guess anything goes. I realize this was not about the subject of your post, poorly designed is poorly designed....no matter the bike features. Imagine future E bikes with 250 watts or less won't need many controls. |

If you struggle to ride a road bike bike at 15mph, its time to take up golf or tennis.
